No, this was not an interview. It was only a photo-op at the Newport Beach Balboa Club. Dr. Drew was the Key Note Speaker for a fundraiser for  Senator John Moorlach. Daphne and Erbil were the last two guests that joined them at their table. The event began as soon as they arrived. Senator knows well, Daphne and Erbil do not often attend fundraisers.

Catching up with friends and colleagues

The event turned out to become an opportune time for Daphne and Dr. Drew to catch up. They know each other very well, especially when one of the topics is “Saving Amy.” Daphne’s best selling book and the documentary based on the book won an Oscar in recent years. So, they had a lot of ground to cover between speeches. Dr. Drew specializes in addictions and focused extensively on Amy Winehouse.

It was also an opportune time to exchange some info about a book by Erbil, even if it was a foreign policy book. On the eve of presidential elections, in America, anything and everything must be about pocketbook issues. Yet, to some, the foreign policy still matters. Especially those that may have been dismayed with the foreign policy objectives of America prior to 2016 elections, they worry a lot about the future. For them electing Donald J. Trump for a second term on November 3rd, 2020 is vitally important.

GAMECHANGER Trump Card: Turkey & Erdogan authored by Erbil Gunasti, released January 2020 argues: “The U.S. is being squeezed out by China and India, the number one and two economies in the world, and challenged by two upcoming Muslim countries, Indonesia and Turkey, from the other end. Now Donald Trump and Recep Tayyip Erdogan must work together to set the stage for the U.S. to establish a balance of power against the rapidly rising East.”
